Polynosic Ladies Shirt - Many Sizes and Colors Available

[picture] "Mere words cannot describe how wonderful these polynosic shirts are! I get so many compliments at work, and people have asked to touch the material because of the buttery soft look they have. I was thrilled to find these shirts on VV's Victorian Prints website, and I have one in almost every color. The shipping was fast and the service pleasant and helpful. These are my 'go to' shirts for any occasion, dressy or casual. Best of all, they wash like a dream and keep their rich colors and fabulous feel. You have to try these shirts, they are simply the best!"

One touch and you'll fall in love with this long sleeve, lightweight, button-down shirt
with hidden button-down collar, patch pocket, button-through sleeve plackets, adjustable cuffs, 2 back pleats and dyed-to-match pearlized buttons. The high-quality polynosic yarns are dyed prior to weaving for that deep, rich color. You'll love the way it drapes and flows.

[picture] Polynosic clothing is very soft, silky, slimming, and is extremely comfortable to wear. The fiber is made from leaves from trees in the high mountains of China. Polynosic absorbs humidity better than cotton. Its polish parallels that of silk, and it is virtually static-free. Our shirts are a perfect blend of 83% Polynosic & 17% Polyester, great for travel. . . a little steam will smooth out any wrinkles. It can be washed with your other business clothing. If you silkscreen, paint or stamp it, you should turn it inside out and wash on the gentle/delicate cycles.

After many washings the fabric retains its shape and doesn't shrink or distort. It absorbs colors well so the fabric will look new even after repeated washes. Polynosic fabric also breathes well, allowing air to pass through and wick moisture away. This shirt retails for $37.50. We've seen prices as high as $49.99 on the web. Even if you decide to wear it unembellished as is, you're getting a great deal.

Though this shirt is beautiful enough to wear without embellishments, we love how it looks with a silkscreen (see image on the right for a detailed close-up). For decorating we recommend Jacquard's Lumiere metallic paints which have finely ground metallic pigments that give an elegant sheen to surfaces. The concentrated high quality pigments offer perfect coverage, even on dark fabric, Lumiere will not stiffen the fibers as much as other paints. This means your shirt will continue to have that fluid draping quality, even after painting or silkscreening.

Painting with a brush, stenciling, silk screening and rubber stamping are just a few of the ways to apply Lumiere paints to textiles. See below for some excellent sources for some beautiful silkscreens (from the Silk Experience group) to use. Jacquard's Lumiere paints are available from JoAnns and other craft stores.

Here is a size chart from the manufacturer. The shirts run a little large. But if you like your shirts loose you may want to go one size larger than the chart recommends (e.g. I usually buy dresses in size 10/12 and shirts in size Large. According to the chart, size 10/12 would be Medium. Though I often wear the Medium size shirt, sometimes I like to wear the size Large shirt out and free flowing, over a tank top or silk shirt).

I can't tell you how many compliments I've received when wearing this shirt. It definitely is figure flattering and slimming. I wear all the colors, some with silkscreens, some without, depending on the look I want. At this price you can afford several. And they travel so well. Just hang them in the bathroom and take a shower to see any wrinkles disappear. Or throw them in a dryer for a few minutes or use a portable hand steamer.

Here are the size/color combinations we currently have in stock. However, please remember this can change in a moment.

Please note: Because this shirt is no longer available from the manufacturer and these shirts tend to fly off the shelf (especially after people see them silkscreened at my shows), the inventory could change before we get the site updated. You are welcome to email us first and check stock before placing your order.
