Angelina Fiber Stamps

to make Dragonflies, Flowers and More

[picture]

Our line of fiber stamps were conceived, designed and manufactured by Jane Weir, a local mixed media artist, instructor and designer. We met Jane at a quilt show and decided to feature her stamps in Houston at the International Quilt Market. People like the stamps so much we decided to also offer them on our website. Jane's fiber stamps were prominently featured in a recent issue of well known art/mixed media magazine, ÒCloth, Paper, Scissors. Her stamps are not limited to working with Angelina, but lend them selves well to many different fibers, including molding clay.

Each stamp comes with its own set of instructions. They are dimensional and make more than one creation. My personal favorite, the Dragon Flower stamp, makes many different flowers, and of course, the Dragonfly! They can decorate almost any form of artistic expression, be it embellishing a quilt, bringing a new dimension to paper crafts, or just standing alone or grouped in a vase. They are sure to bring warmth and excitement to your designs.

You can also use these stamps with velvet for making artist trading cards or greeting cards. Be sure to use acetate velvet so it doesn't burn. Lay the stamp face up on the table. Lay the acetate velvet piece with the velvet side down on top of the stamp. Mist lightly with water. Cover the stamp area with a piece of cloth. Using a hot iron, move it quickly and smoothly over the velvet for 20-30 seconds so it doesn't scorch.
